Hi I am Sheila Kennedy, a Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.
When two of my five children now aged 41 and 46 presented with ‘learning difficulties’ many years ago there were not a lot of options available. One of the few that were was to ‘incarcerate’ my younger son in a juvenile psychiatric centre for an unspecified period of time for ‘observation’. I disagreed!
Autism was never mentioned, and I do not believe that either of my sons were ‘autistic’ or fitted into the ‘ASD’.
Many years and a great deal of research, study, learning and questioning led me to the early 2000’s
In 2002 I discovered a ‘self healing ‘ process that changed my whole life and the lives of my son’s. I studied the modality called Vibrational Kinesiology and became an associate in the practice. The passing in 2004 of Cameron Dawson the founder of this amazing technique left me with questions and a need to know more and to do more.
This led me to exploring how I could add to the foundation that Cameron had given me and took me on a journey of discovery, which is a little bit like being an explorer without a map to follow and traversing unknown territories.
Cameron had taught me to treat the ‘physical and the energetic body’ using many ancient instruments to create specific sounds and he had recorded these processes to CD’s. Without Cameron, I could not create new ‘sound programs’ as I did not have the equipment or the expertise.
So I diversified into using a specific set of Tibetan bells called ‘Tingsha’s ‘ and a realisation that ‘every cell in the body retains memory’ and that I could assist the body to release those memories.
With a passion for working with children and believing that if you can assist a child then you do not have a future adult with a problem I kept questioning both further and deeper to identify the cause of what was generally diagnosed or mis-diagnosed in many instances as the ‘ASD’ rather than treat the symptoms.
A visit from the Mother of a small girl in early 2005 led to my treating the whole class of children from a ‘Special Kindergarten’ and the beginning my creating 2 individual programs. One called The Children’s Learning Program and the other Autism need not be a life sentence under the brand name of Absolute Autism,
The Absolute Autism program was hands down my favourite program as I had realised that by using my specific vibrational sound therapy that I could ‘communicate’ with the cells of the body and create change, I wrote a book to accompany the program and created an amazing energetic detox program to assist the body in gently Detoxing the many areas of toxicity that were contributing to some of the issues that I had identified.
Some changes were small, yet improvements were regular and exciting, others were profound in the way the child improved and gained benchmarks previously thought unattainable. I cried and rejoiced with many a parent and many of my wonderful clients became ‘extra’ children and friends.
Yet it wasn’t enough!
I have kept researching, kept creating, taught my findings to others so that more practitioners are available to assist.
I realised that I needed to make improvements to how the programs worked, to simplify the processes and to allow for differences in ages as well as individual situations and diagnoses.
Now in 2016 I am working on new programs; identifying that they need to be individual for children, teenagers and adults.
That they needed to address ‘specific’ areas of diagnosis, ASD, ADD/Adhd, Dyslexia, Aspergers and Dyspraxia.
And that they need to be simple, user friendly and affordable, as well as easily accessible.
One of my practitioners is a Fighting for Autism Ambassador in Melbourne Australia and I am excited to be associated with such a great cause.
Hi Trevor and Sheila
I’m actually dreadful when it comes to writing testimonials, (isn’t that funny? I just have some sort of mental blockage to writing them!) so please feel free to reword this so it sounds better.
We didn’t bother to do that
When my son Ryan was about 18 months old, I had some concerns about his development. He had just barely started walking, did not play like other children his age did, and didn’t say any words. In fact, he barely babbled. I had him evaluated by the early intervention team, which included a speech therapist, special ed teacher and a physical therapist. It was determined that Ryan “might” be autistic. Since then, Ryan has undergone therapy sessions three times a week, and while there were improvements here and there, I was still very concerned and losing hope that Ryan would ever do the things other kids his age were doing.
A couple months ago, with Ryan around 20 months old, I started playing the programs including the detox program for him when he went to bed. Almost instantly, I started noticing some improvements. He started babbling the way babies do; and soon after began using some sign language that we had been trying to get him to copy for a handful of necessary words for basic communication. He didn’t bang his head on the floor out of frustration as much, and started wanting to be cuddled- another thing that was a little “off” with Ryan previously, he never wanted to be hugged and soon after starting the detox program he looked for cuddles! Now, Ryan is 23 months old. He is running and climbing, speaking about 6 words consistently and appropriately, and continues to improve daily. The therapists still come to the house to work with Ryan, and are now saying they don’t think Ryan has autism because of his quick improvements.

I just wanted to share with you James’ progress over the last 2 weeks – I have noticed changes but I wasn’t sure I was seeing them because i was looking for them.
This morning we went to speech therapy as we normally do fortnightly. We walked in he said “good morning Jayne, let’s get to work!!!” He has never said that in his life.
The session progressed with the same enthusiasm, with Jayne looking at me incredulously at regular intervals. At the end of the session she asked, ‘what have we been doing over the last 2 weeks”.
She apparently chose activities that James was supposed to struggle with, but he absolutely flew through them. He made a mistake on one of the activities, looked at the situation and corrected it without a word and moved on.
We are absolutely staggered at how quickly the changes are being observed by others.
Cristian is also talking significantly more, even though the ipod (on low) is in James’ room which is across the hallway
3 April 2012
I saw James and Cristian on one occasions 2 weeks before this was written, James aged 4 was diagnosed as Autistic and Cristian aged 2 with Obsessional Defiance Disorder. I saw them again in February 2016 and met two amazingly self assured little men.
