Are you a smoker?
I have spent much of my life working with people, listening, talking, sharing, stories and information, good advice [up to the listener whether they take it or not] and in more recent years a good deal of ‘spiritual’ counselling.
As a channel and a medium I often have messages given to me on a variety of subjects. Some of these I “hear” in my mind, others I am guided to use a pen and write, often pages of words which have no meaning to me at the time I am writing them, however which can be profound messages when read through after I finish writing. Now some of these are personally for me, others may be for humanity or a particular person.
There have been two quite different areas of thought in my life recently on the subject of choices, and the words “all that glitters is not gold” if you will.
The first was a channelling some weeks ago which described the difference of a girl child being attracted to the shine and sequins of the item which glitters and catches the eye, and the mature female or woman who recognises the value in a diamond.
The second was about a conversation I had with a young friend of mine who is known as E.B. which is the endearment I use for the young daughter of a good friend of mine; this young lady is very special in my life and we have a close relationship, in fact she informs me ‘we are so close we could almost be related’.
Sufficient to say I love her dearly, and she is a joy in my life, a surrogate grandchild if you will for some as even though I have many grandchildren they live a good distance away and I do not see a great deal of them.
Now recently I gained permission from Susan and Mark, the esteemed parents of my friend E.B., for E.B. herself to write the children’s section of the newsletter which is attached to a Health and Wellness web site I have with my husband Trevor.
Now, I had discussed briefly with Miss E.B. who is 10 years old that I would organise some remuneration for her in return for helping me , and she, knowing her parents are quite partial to a particular type of cake I make she had expressed an interest in those cakes as being an young entrepreneur she could ‘make some profit’ by selling them to her parents.
Far be it from me to stifle a genuine enterprise, however I thought about the fact that we may not be here some months to provide said ‘cakes’, so there needed to be an alternative option.
I talked to Miss E.B. about choices, and the types of choices, that there are some things which you can see right in front of you and others which may remain hidden at the time, and the need to make not necessarily the right choice, at the time but a good choice.
I then asked her to make the choice between a tray of ‘cakes’ to take home, or a plain sealed envelope with her name on it.
It was a hard decision, for her, there I was with the cakes, all iced and yummy, in one hand, and those cakes with a ready cash market, [Mum and Dad] and in the other hand an ordinary white envelope.
Now I am really proud of my young friend E.B. who thought for a few moments, and said ‘I will have the envelope please, because I have a good feeling about it’.
A wise choice on her part, as the envelope contained a crisp $20 note as well as a letter thanking her for being a part of our web site, and talking about her choice, and that only she knew if it had been the ‘right choice’ but that I believed it had been a wise one, and there was a surprise for her for making that choice. [A tray of cakes to take home as well]
What really impressed me was that my young friend E.B. [who is E.B. The Magical Elf in our newsletter], listened to her intuition, her inner feelings, and went with those.
I am really proud of my friend Miss E.B., and if you would like to meet her you can find her at. www.absolutehealthandwellness.com
Hello, this is Sheila again, and I would like to share a story with you, about a young friend of mine. I have called this post All that glitters is not gold.
